Memory Palace

In a land unknown to the world,
Where ravens and crows abound,
And the eye has only twilight to see,
There is a palace...


Long has been my time
in this palace of no windows
long has been my sleep,
so much so, that reality remains a dream...


Now when a shadow looms over the palace,
forboding an impending doom... a strike of destiny,
My sight falters me...

The rose i chose to pluck,
blossoms into an orc head with evil connotations,
the pond that i look into,
vanishes to give a bottomless void,
infested with darkness so opaque,
that the heart succumbs to its icy tentacles.
each mile seems an eternity,
each step seems to vanish into nothingness...

doubt and second thoughts encroach my mind,
like fleas feasting on a carcass,
like scavengers, scouring for a gout of blood...
so much so that the soul detests its own abode...

My emotions ...so mangled,
that i forget when to feel joy and when grief,
time runs in circles...
a circle of fire and death...
A noose tightening slowly around my throat...
choking and torturing me...

All i wonder is...
what a palace! and what a life!
isnt it better to forfeit the battle,
to give up and succumb to the forces,
succumb to the brooding silence,
at least therein lies peace of mind...

Hey folks, im back... or so to say. No prizes for guessin that im goin thru a tough time.. a really testing one. Everything seems soo... confusing.Feelin really low. But i'll clarify lest u expect that im REALLY back... this is my last post for a looong time... for another month or two atleast. But dont be disheartened... when i'm back, if can endure this test that is, ill be really back!

And dont worry if yu cant make head or tale outta this one, coz its personal reflection... yeah yeah the philosopher kind! But looks good... atleast to me! What say you?!
