A long while has passed since i last saw you.
Monsoon is over, the green has been resurrected
Northern birds are flying to their winter refuge
How my life has changed, I have often reflected
Then you came .... I saw you,
In the storm suge of humanity.
Standing accross the road, near the school gate... waiting...
A flash of brown hair, a flutter of brown eyes,
Was all i would take in.
And i was plunged headlong.....
Into a brown bottomless ocean.
Its water as sweet as honey, its scent, the wholesome essence of womanhood.
I felt my chest being hammard,pelted.....
Felt a slow numbness,a terrible cold-heat,
A numbness which threatened to fail my breath.
A numbness which caused my eyes to water,my throat to choke.
Was i crying? or was i simply overwhelmed by reality?
I don't know, maybe, i'll never know......
But it was when she raised her hand to me,in a gesture,
The mirror of my reality broke into a million pieces.
Pieces, which were flung so far that their existence ceased.
Then again...
There was a flash of brown hair,a flutter of brown eyes....
I was pulled out of the brown ocean,
My mind reversed and closed the moment-long video,
Everything was saved, committed to memory,
only...
The broken pieces of my reality,
and my mind's sanity,
were lost, in that one moment of madness.
